Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.

..the Crystal Unown...?

Let me explain- the Unown is one I designed when I was about 14 or so. I thought it would be cool if there was a 'king' of the Unown that looked like a sun, so I came up with the 'Crystal Unown'. I guess I named it after the Crystal version of Pokémon? I can't really remember
In any case, I found a really old sketch of the Crystal Unown with Umbreon and Espeon.
I have no idea why Umbreon and Espeon were there, but it kind of works, I think. I always liked these three, they were always three of my favourite Johto Pokémon. Even if Unown is completely useless...
I really kind of like Umbreon and Espeon's jumping poses- I looked up a lot of pictures of cats jumping to get the anatomy right. And you kind of can't see it, but the Unown has some blue glow around it, too
Media- paper sketch, Photoshop for the rest
Time taken- about an hour for the initial drawing, two or so hours for the CG.

That aside, I must say what a very nice looking piece of work this is. I like the colouring very much, especially on their eyes and Espy's forehead gem doodad. I like the way you've used coloured lines rather than black'uns too. The only thing I think is Espy's tail is perhaps a little too thin (it looks more like Mew's like this), and is it just me or is there something vaguely equine about the way you've drawn the faces? I think it's the length of the muzzle. But again, nice jorb hun. Great choice of subject matter too. ^_^

Thankies hun! I kind of liked the coloured outlines too. I see what you mean about Espeon's tail- it's also about twice as long as it should be, so I completely exaggerated it
Equine? I can definitely see that, certainly in Espeon, actually. Darn, and I was aiming for canine/feline
