Red and Pink

'Red and pink' is the first of a series of five images I have planned in my mind featuring the Silverstar gang and five theme colours. The colour for this image is supposed to be red, but pink is pale red, so I grouped them together

From left to right, the characters are Kaikou, Hotaru and Tsuki. Kaikou and Tsuki are brother and sister and quite close. I like how they have the same colourscheme.
The fire spell Hotaru is casting is 'Phoenix Masquerade'- she's supposed to have a mask made of flames too, but I didn't include it because with the fire in her hands and behind her as a wing-like image, the lightsourcing was getting complicated and more fire would've made it worse. But I kinda think it looks just fine without it

I really like how Kaikou's eyes and hair came out, and Hotaru's fire. I made that fire with what I read in this tutorial [link] in mind, but I kinda made it up as I was going, too I do like how dynamic Hotaru's jumping, spell-casting pose looks. Tsuki looks like she has an attitude problem. Well.. she does, so I'm glad!

I'm not so sure about Tsuki, though. Her hair looks nice, but something about her bugs me and I can't place what it is.. I know her boobs look odd because I wanted to make them look like they were pulling the fabric of the top of her outfit over them, but it just makes them look vaguely saggy. Someone tell me what looks off about her, please!

I think the background might be a little OTT, but I kinda like it. I think it works, somehow. Overall, I like how it came out, but I think the next images might have simpler shading cus this one took soooo long and I started getting vaguely bored with it, which isn't good.

Time: Oh man, this took me so long. If I'd finished it tomorrow, it would've taken me two weeks, on and off.
But that wasn't in a row, obviously! I worked on it for a little bit everyday. Or at least, nearly every day.
